Why does one candle smell stronger than another?

Candles have what is called a “cold scent throw” (in the jar) and a “hot scent throw” (when burning). Here at Divine Knick Knacks we use the same amount of fragrance oil per candle. However, different oils will have different scent throws depending on the scent profile. Typically, citrus and clean scents will have a lighter scent throw, while food based scents may smell heavier.

What is my candle made of?

Here at Divine Knick Knacks we use non-toxic and phthalate free ingredients in our candles. We start with 100% pure beeswax harvested in the USA, and then add high quality fragrance oils that are made with essential oils and various plant based materials specifically blended for safe candle use. We use wood wicks that are lead and zinc free.

Why is my candle smoking?

Always keep your wicks trimmed to 1/4″! This will help eliminate smoking.

Do I really have to trim the wick?

With the exception of the first time you burn it, you should always trim the wick! Trimming the wick prior to burning your soy candle helps prevent soot, and also promotes a longer candle life. If you don’t have a wick trimmer, an easy way to trim your candle prior to burning is to simply pinch off the tip of the wick between your fingers with a tissue.

Why does my candle have what look like wet spots?

The beeswax isn’t making contact with the glass in some parts of the container and appears as a wet spot. We do not use additives or preservatives in the beeswax, so it remains in as near a natural state as possible when we pour the wax. When the candle experiences temperature variations, the beeswax may also expand or contract. This characteristic is normal and does not affect the quality, consistency, or performance of the beeswax candle when burned properly.

Pet safety info?

At DKK., we love our animals as much as you do, and our products are formulated to be generally safe to use in households shared with pets. Our products are not tested on animals, but we always recommend using them as directed according to our warning labels. Keep your DKK products out of reach from pets (and children too!) since certain essential oils can irritate the skin or be toxic to some animal breeds. Smaller animals can be especially sensitive to their environments— please use caution using fragranced products around them. If you have questions or concerns about using DKK products around your pet, please consult your veterinarian for the best advice regarding your furry friend.

Can I use DKK products while pregnant, nursing, or around children?

We set high standards about the ingredients we use because we know you’re using our products around people you love; we only produce what we'd personally use at home with our own families. Like all household products, make sure to use ours as directed and keep out of reach of pets + children. If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting with your physician or healthcare professional prior to using to ensure you and your little one are safe.

ORDERS

CAN I CHANGE/CANCEL MY ORDER?

Our logistics partner works fast to get your order out to you. Once your order is submitted, we are unable to make any changes, including address changes, item changes, or cancelation requests.

If you need a change of address for your package, please contact the shipping carrier to update your shipping information or request that your package is delivered to an access point / local pick-up location near you. Divine Knick Knacks is not responsible for lost packages due to incorrect shipping addresses, thanks for your understanding!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?

We make each item to order, so please allow 5 days for order processing. You will receive a shipping confirmation when your order has shipped.

Can I send my order as a gift?

Divine products make the perfect gifts for any occasion. You also have the option to include a personalized gift note with your order, click Gift! on the cart and type out your message. Invoices are not included in orders, so gift recipients will not see the price of the order.

Does dkk offer payment installment plans?

We do offer a payment plan through PayPal. View these details at check out.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Can I return or exchange my Dkk product?

If you’re not 100% satisfied with one of your  products, we would love to help make that right! Please contact our Customer Care team at sales@divineknickknacks.com within 10 days of receiving your order and we’ll help get the process started. We require proof of purchase to process your request.

If you're experiencing an issue with a product, please reach out within 48 hours of receiving your order and include photos with a detailed description in your email so that our team can determine how to best lend a helping hand.

NOTE: We are unable to cover any return shipping fees. Discontinued items, limited edition/vault release items, or gift cards are final sale and not eligible for returns or exchanges. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in its original packaging. If your return is accepted, we'll send you instructions on how and where to send your package.
